When the ripe fruit falls
its sweetness distills and trickles away
into the veins of the earth.
When fulfilled people die
the essential oil of their experience enters
the veins of living space, and adds a glisten
to the atom, to the body of immortal chaos.
For space is alive
and it stirs like a swan
whose feathers glisten
silky with the oil of distilled experience.
익은 열매 떨어질 때
그 달콤함 스며나와 대지의 혈관으로 방울져 떨어진다.
완전하게 산 사람들 죽을 때
그들 체험의 진액 살아 있는 공간의
혈관으로 들어가 빛 더한다.
원자에, 불멸의 혼돈의 몸뚱이에.
그 까닭은 공간이 살아 있어
고니처럼 움직이고
그 깃털 정제된 체험의 기름으로
비단처럼 반짝거리기 때문이다.
